Thompson suspends campaign activities
to help settle Hurricane Gustav evacuees
"Now is a time to help others"
BOSSIER CITY (Sept. 1, 2008) – Your community, your neighbors, your fellow Louisianians need your help.
With an influx of hurricane evacuees seeking shelter in Northwest Louisiana, Jeff Thompson and members of his campaign delivered supplies to shelters and provided televisions so Hurricane Gustav evacuees housed in the Bossier Civic Center and the CenturyTel Center could keep up with events as the storm takes aim at the Louisiana coastline. Thompson also arranged to have food for volunteers working at the shelters.

The distribution centers for the Food Bank and Goodwill need volunteers.
Please call 211 and register to volunteer.
